This arrangement as an Intermediate Piano Solo in the keys of B Flat and G major uses both tunes producing a stirring processional, appropriate for use in worship services and programs.
The first tune by Webb and the better known was published in the US prior to the civil war and continues to be a popular and rousing selection The second tune by Geibel was published near the end of the century and appears beside Webb's tune in many hymnals. Geibel's tune, more strident and discordant, provides an exhilarating and inspirational conclusion to this arrangement.
