Composed by Scott Joplin. Arranged by G L Harvey. Concert,Instructional,Ragtime,Standards. Score. 5 pages. G L Harvey #4414789. Published by G L Harvey (A0.805829).

The Maple Leaf Rag is a ragtime classic and a must have on any pianists repertoire, but usually well beyond the reach of elementary players. This carefully reduced arrangement of the first and second theme allows access for new players with mainly one note per hand, but still retains some of the style and musical flow of the original. Difficulty is about grade 1 (ABRSM), with frequent changes of hand position, and some challenges with accidentals. The PDF is 5 pages, portrait A4 and includes a 2nd version with finger numbers and note names.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
