This hymn is #488 in the old edition of Soul-Stirring
Songs & Hymns, but it's really more intended for the

works, it's really more of a choir piece, written so
that it actually sounds full and complete even when
performed a capella. Arranging it for piano was no easy
task, as the original thrives on long sustained notes,
something the piano is not known for. The resulting
arrangement might have a little more going on
underneath the melody than the choir version,
particularly rhythmically, but it makes a piece
originally suited for choir effective in a totally
different type of performance. I hope you enjoy!
