The reception received in my family from this piece,
when the piano teacher submitted it to me, no less than
55 years ago, was not the best: they criticized the
dissonances, the syncopations, the crossings of arms
(which I have eliminated here, since not necessary). In
short, it seemed to be too "modern". But the biggest
fault was in the title, which promised something cutesy
and not very serious. This is why the score was soon
put aside, and until now I have never had the idea of
taking it back...(+)
