This piece has "fuguesque" passages, but it is not
conceived as a fugue.
It is worth noting that the software I use to make the
sheets isn't the best when it comes to manage various
instruments in the playing simulation, and it worsens
up the more instruments I add into it. In any case, if
you somehow are eager to try this piece and have some
acquaintances (specifically bassoonists, oboists and/or
pianists) I would be glad to hear your try!
Beautifully scored!!! In spite of the limitations of digital instruments, I think you have done quite a good job making a good demo recording of this intriguing composition. I don't so much follow a fugal theme as I do sense a overall CONCEPT that drives each phrase and imitation forward. Watching the score also really helps one understand how you constructed this piece. The various layers of imitation are clever and precise, too. The TONE of the piece strikes me as somewhat spooky, like a movie score for a haunted mansion or a scary scene. I do not mean this as a negative reaction at all. It is just something that popped into my head. Another completely original composition from your pen. Nicely done.

I always find fascinating to read what anyone imagined while reading/listening to the score, so don't worry I would never perceive it with bad eyes even if the criticism was negative (in that case I would reanalyse the piece, most likely).
