Dancers is the second volume of a set of six pieces called Romantic Suite. Composed by Robert Planel for Alto Saxophone and Piano this second piece is for intermediate players. In Dancers the Piano starts on its own but is soon joined by the Saxophone. The piece is divided in five parts the first one being the main theme which is later repeated as the last one. The tempo is quite fast on most of the piece except for the third section. The full set of six volumes features: 1. Italian Serenade 2. Dancers 3. Sad Song 4. Feeling Waltz 5. Christmas story 6. Muleteer’s song Robert Planel (1908-1994) was a French musician and pedagogue.

Written in 1934 by Alexandre Glazounov (1865-1936) this Eb Concerto for Alto-Saxophone is a fourteen-minute piece dedicated to Sigmud M. Rasher a famous Saxophonist and soloist. Initially composed for Saxophone and Strings there was no mention of a second composer even though the 1936 publication adapted for Saxophone and Piano mentioned the name by André Petiot (1886-1976). The concerto starts with an Allegro moderato in 4/4 followed by an Andante transition mainly in C flat major at 3/4 and ending on a Fugato in 12/8. The first performance of this concerto in public occurred after the death ofits author in Paris. Alexandre Glazounov (1865-1936) is a famous Russian romantic composer. Considered as a prodigy and mentored by Belyayev he composed ballets concertos symphonies and later became director of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory. He had a strong influence on Stravinsky's and Shostakovich's careers and died near Paris in 1936. This concerto is a classical piece of the Saxophone romantic repertoire.

Aria by Eugène Bozza (1905-1991) is a lyrical piece written in 1936 for advanced Alto Saxophone players. Technically and musically challenging being able to master vibrato and control your instrument well will be greatly beneficial to effective playing of this piece. Dedicated to the famous French Saxophonist Marcel Mule Aria required from the player a good mastery of breathing as there are few rests and this also suggests that the intonation should be applied carefully as well. A relaxed piece that's very popular among players this piece is representative of Bozza's inimitable romantic style and is thoroughlyenjoyable. Eugène Bozza won different prizes at the Conservatoire de Paris such as the First Prizes for the Violin conducting and composition as well as the Grand Prix de Rome. He also composed several operas chamber works and ballets among others.
