Mauro Giuliani was born in Bisceglie Italy in 1781. He was one of the most famous guitarists and composers in the early 19th century. In 1806 he settled in Vienna where he was celebrated as a virtuoso composer and teacher and stayed there until 1819. Via Venice and Rome he came to Naples where he spent the last five years of his life until he died on the 8th May 1829.
