Quatre ans plus tard, il y conclut brillamment son parcours musical. Sa carrière d’illustre virtuose du violon lui fait parcourir le monde sa vie durant. Henryk Wieniawski a également révélé un indéniable talent de compositeur, mais son œuvre essentiellement consacrée au violon reste néanmoins limitée. En 1859, il compose la Légende en Sol mineur pour Violon et Orchestre Op. 17. Dans cette version pour Orchestre d’Harmonie, Wil van der Beek confie la partie soliste la clarinette. L’instrumentiste peutpleinement mettre en valeur ses aptitudes techniques et sa musicalité.
