One of the most popular Christmas carols, Joy to the World has been arranged here for four C flutes (no alto or bass required). This is accessible to higher level middle school, high school and adult flute players. The first verse is a very basic harmonization. The second goes into the relative minor, expressing the verse "No more let sins or sorrows grow, Or thorns infest the ground." The third, after a small fanfare, re-enters the major and leads to a somewhat polyphonic ending.
