French Horn Quartet Horn - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1252401 By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Petey C. 20th Century,Pop,Rock,Soul. 8 pages. Petey C. #846371. Published by Petey C. (A0.1252401). Hey Friends! As always, I have a couple public domain arrangements on my website, peteyc.com. Check them out, they're cheaper and support me more than what little percentage I get from here. This is a little bit stylized of a version of All You Need Is Love in a way that suits four horns very well. I think you'll like it. It's one of my favourite of my arrangements so far. As I always try to do, the melody gets passed around a lot, so that no part is boring. Very pretty harmonies. Intermediate level.

Voice Duet Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - SKU: A0.779671 Composed by Arthur Le Clerq. Arranged by Kim Kirkman. Broadway,Contemporary,Musical/Show,Traditional. Score. 4 pages. Kim Kirkman #6697501. Published by Kim Kirkman (A0.779671). This is a wonderful old comedy song. This is in C major - the high key for sopranosI have put in the first verse that Tessie sings, plus the spoken part. I have changed some of the words of the spoken part to update them.I have then constructed a third verse from other verses that Le Clerq wrote. To sing it exactly like Tessie please repeat first verse.Words:Verse:For years a fairy queen I've bin', For years I foiled the demon king. But alas, I'm getting on, The years have flown somehow,And I feel that Fairy Snowdrop isn't wanted now.Chorus One:Nobody loves a fairy when she's forty.Nobody loves a fairy when she's old.She may still have her magic power, But that is not enough,They like their bit of magic from a younger bit of fluff. When once your silver star has lost its glitter,And your tinsel looks like rust instead of gold.Your fairy days are ending when your wand has started bending.Noone loves a fairy when she's old.Spoken:T'was I who found the magic wand, I will not tell you where.T'was I who found young Tinkerbell, her head was full of airI’ve been a fairy of the flowers, and fairy daffodils,I’ve been a fairy of the wind, and suffer from it still! In certain covered valley hills I go down to the glenBeen loved by all the children and run after by the men. Huh!Noone could touch me at me splits, me splits were all the rage,Until the night woodman left his chopper on the stage, what a mess!Verse 2:Nobody loves a fairy when she's forty.Nobody loves a fairy when she's old.As far as I can see they try to push you off the map,When once your wand has withered and your wings refuse to flap. When you have lost your little fairy dimples,And the mothholes in your dress let in the cold,It seems that they would sooner listen to a blinkin' crooner,Noone loves a fai-y when she's old!

Alto Voice,Bass Voice,Soprano voice,Tenor Voice - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1318619 Composed by Phillips Brooks and Lewis H Redner. Arranged by Connie Boss. A Cappella,Christian,Christmas,Holiday. 9 pages. Connie Boss #907297. Published by Connie Boss (A0.1318619). This version is for SATB voices. It has the original melody with pretty harmonies added. There are solo, duet and complete choir singing the words. Humming and ahhs are used for the solo and duets. The melody is more for an alto range. I have also added additions to each verse that is different than the original with new lyrics and music. It adds a little bit to this iconic song. For any questions or requests, email cdboss@cvalley.netLyrics below:O little town of BethlehemHow still we see Thee lieAbove Thy deep and dreamless sleepThe silent stars go byYet in thy dark streets shinethThe everlasting lightThe hopes and fears of all the yearsAre met in Thee tonight Shepherds watching o’re their flocksSaw a light star downThen they noticed that it’s lightLit up a little townFor Christ is born of MaryAnd, gathered all aboveWhile mortals sleep, the angels keepTheir watch of wondering loveO morning stars, togetherProclaim the Holy birthAnd praises sing to God the KingAnd peace to men on earthShepherds followed the bright starAnd they were so amazedPeople gathered all aroundSinging hymns of praiseO Holy Child of BethlehemDescend to us, we prayCast out our sin and enter inBe born for us todayWe hear the Christmas angelsThe great glad tidings tellO come to us, abide with usOur Lord EmmanuelIn a stable was a childBorn for all to seeHis mother always by His sideThe newborn Prince of peaceO little town of BethlehemHow still we see Thee lieAbove Thy deep and dreamless sleepThe silent stars go by.

Christian,Christmas,Holiday. 10 pages. Connie Boss #907165. Published by Connie Boss (A0.1318498). This version has an optional beginning. I have choir humming for the first three measure. Piano Solo - Level 3 - SKU: A0.710426 By Mirla. By Emily Mirla Harrison. Arranged by Andrew Rostas. Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score. 4 pages. Little Symphony Records #318361. Published by Little Symphony Records (A0.710426). A romantic, stirring piano solo, influenced by the Romantics, particularly Rachmaninoff. A passionate protest piece, that decries the futility of imperial wars and pays homage to those unsung women of Mirla’s generation, whose patience, stoicism and quiet passion helped them to endure and steel our nation to the horrors of war. It begins in gut-wrenching piano motif. An expression of all the sadness and sufferings of war. Then, it drops, into a deep well of fury, with dark, pulsating ostinato base notes; an echoed refrain from … Konyu Cutting. The tension and anger builds with each register lift, with each slamming note and chord shift, before an impossibly dramatic breakdown, with a stark rhythm change and hugely satisfying and dignified chords that pound the keys, to smash imperial ambitions and celebrate of love and humanity. The piece is a feminine response to the masculine context of “… Konyu Cutting. It ends with a return and resolution of that deadly piano motif.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.972650 Composed by James Siddons. Contemporary,Opera,Ragtime. Octavo. 79 pages. James Siddons Music and Writings #4898807. Published by James Siddons Music and Writings (A0.972650). Two Views of Scott Joplin is an exploration of a personal and artistic crisis that Scott Joplin, the King of Ragtime, went through between 1904 and 1906. This crisis was precipitated by the untimely death of Freddie Alexander in September 1904, to whom Joplin had been married only ten weeks. Knowledge of this marriage was lost to history for almost a century until the Joplin scholar Edward A. Berlin discovered the newspaper obituary, which is quoted in the bass solo in Part II, The Obituary of Freddie Alexander. Apparently, Scott Joplin, already inspired by the progressive ideals of Booker T. Washington, saw a path to social and artistic betterment through his love of Freddie, a daughter of a refined family. During this period, Joplin used the title rag less often in his piano-solo works, and nurtured an interest in opera (he had long been active in vaudeville as well as ragtime piano). He seems to have lost his sense of direction in 1905 and 1906, until led by his publisher John Stark to move to New York City in 1907. Once there, apparently growing out of his grief, Joplin studied with an Italian opera singer and composer, composed his folk opera Treemonisha, and composed Wall Street Rag and his other late masterpieces for piano. Joplin died in April 1917 following two years of debilitating illness. Joplin left almost no personal writings, such as letters or diaries. To create an impression of autobiography, Two Views of Scott Joplin consists mostly of words and music written by Scott Joplin, and piano music composed by two close associates, the composer-pianists Louis Chauvin and Scott Hayden. These words come from Treemonisha, from Joplin’s little-remembered vaudeville and parlor songs, and also from text in his sheet-music---copyright notices, publishers’ addresses, titles and subtitles of rags, performance directions. In most cases, selected lyrics are extracted from songs and paired with piano-solo themes. These ingredients are combined in creative ways to express the biographical narrative. Instrumental themes are re-cast as necessary to express their newly-attached lyrics. But in no place can any of the music in Two Views of Scott Joplin be considered an arrangement of a given, intact composition, nor a medley of tunes, nor a theatrical revue. The character development and dialogue found in Scott Joplin’s Struggle with Destiny (Part II, No. 3) is my own biographical interpretation of Joplin, based on known evidence and on his music. The score contains extensive Performance Notes for performing this 16-minute work as a choral work or as a short opera scene.

Voice and piano - Medium - SKU: MQ.8492-34E Composed by MeeAe Cecilia Nam and Theodore Gouvy. Instrument part. 8 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8492-34E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8492-34E). French.Gouvy was known for writing some of the most beautiful melodies of the Romantic period. His style is a combination of German forms and an early French romantic harmonic structure. His writing for the piano in the songs is totally unified in mood and description with the voice, just as the piano is in Schubert’s songs. The equal partnership of the vocal line and piano interact closely to bring the poetry vividly into life with unimaginable artistic heights and unbridled passion. This volume includes Gouvy songs set to 18 poems of Philippe Desportes (1546–1606), and 18 poems of Moritz Hartmann (1821–1872). The elements of Romantic love poetry, such as enchanting love and its pain, and the personifying of nature, are fluently described with a great sensitivity in both voice and piano. Gouvy’s melody stir up the imagination because of his special treatment of words through a distinguishable and melodious vocal line, and his story telling and poetic treatment and development of the piano accompaniment. His compositional artistry places him in the upper echelons of art-song composers. One should note that Gouvy had a special fondness for the 16th Century poetry of La Pléiade (a group of Renaissance French poets, led by Pièrre de Ronsard (1524–1585). Desportes was truly the heir to Ronsard; however his work, when compared to that of Ronsard, is filled with greater abstraction and greater fluidity. Desportes seems to avoid any of the passionate anger that is occasionally characteristic of La Pléiade. This may be an indication that Desportes lived in a less distressed time. It also seems necessary to point out that he learned much in his early career by copying and studying the earlier works of La Pléiade. This has led some scholars to label him as a plagiarist, but it is important to realize that all the members of La Pléiade copied from each other when they wished to learn something new, and truly understand the style of the other poets in the group. Gouvy’s only choice of poems from his contemporaries, were the works of Moritz Hartmann (1821–1872), a good friend of Gouvy’s. Much of his poetry was strongly political in support of freedom of the individual. He traveled to Leipzig in 1845, but when the authorities discovered a volume of patriotic poems entitled Kelch und Schwert (Chalice and Sword), he fled to Belgium and France. It is at this time that he possibly met Théodore Gouvy. Eighteen poems of Hartmann were translated from German to French by the French poet, Adolph Larmande, of whom very little is known. Pierre Toussaint Adolphe Larmande seems to have been a rather obscure poet and musician. We know that he taught music theory at the Paris Conservatory at the same time Anton Reicha and Michele Carafa were on the faculty. We also know that in 1847 he married an English woman by the name of Marie Caroline Bradley. There are random documents, such as a Certificate of Arrival in London, England, in 1837, but there are no birth and death dates given, and that includes his obituary notice.

Voice and piano - Medium - SKU: MQ.8492-15E Composed by MeeAe Cecilia Nam and Theodore Gouvy. Instrument part. 3 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8492-15E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8492-15E).
