Louis Sauter is a French engineer and musician. As a diplomed communications engineer and Master of Science, he began his career doing research before moving on towards management and consulting, sometimes within the world of music, most notably at the Scientific Committee of IRCAM.
He is a pianist, singer and composer, and especially enjoys playing chamber music and accompanying singers. As a member of the Orchestre Colonne Choir, he sang in Salle Pleyel and at the Palais Omnisports de Bercy before an audience of 13,000.
In 2012, he resumed composing music for piano, voice, chamber ensembles and symphonic orchestra. His compositions have been performed internationally.
Mostly self-taught, he has nevertheless benefited from advice from professional musicians. He met Olivier Messiaen several times, and sharply remembers a musical analysis lesson concerning the Rite of Spring. (Hide extended text) ... (Read all)
