In Endlos, this remarkable work for solo flute he combines modern playing technique with extended breathing techniques. Dehnhard sets up the score with fingering patterns and playing instructions to approach intonationally the nuanced pitch changes that often require small variations around a single note. Many changes of meter in this piece for advanced players support the rhythmic differentiations which creates an energetic expressive solo. The use of circular breathing perfects the flow of the work, whose sound world is hard to escape.
