The Berklee graduate has been a featured artist with the San Diego and Housten symphonies and the Nashville Chamber Orchestra, and has performed on numerous Grammy winning and nominated projects. In 2000 he won first place in the prestigious National Fingerstyle Championship in Winfield, Kansas. Pete toured, recorded and performed with John Denver from 1994 until the singer's death in 1997. Cette méthode rassemble 50 grooves ou lignes de basse dans le style Pop / Folk, à la manière des plus grands groupes d'hier et d'aujourd'hui (The Beatles, Tim Buckley, David Bowie, Tracy Chapman, Oasis, Nick Drake, The Eagles, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, J-J. Goldman, Coldplay, Francis Cabrel, Keane...). Ces lignes - outre le plaisir évident que vous aurez à les jouer - vous permettront de découvrir et de travailler toutes les techniques propres à la basse Pop / Folk : utilisation des notes de l'accord, mais aussi des notes de passage et des renversements - utilisation des techniques de main gauche que sont le glissé, le hammer et le pull-off, etc... Pour vous aider dans leur approche, chaque ligne de basse est précédée d'un texte explicatif qui en détaille les difficultés d'ordre technique, rythmique et théorique. Le DVD Vidéo permet d'entendre et de visualiser l'ensemble des 50 lignes dans le détail, à vitesse normale puis au ralenti, vous donnant ainsi la possibilité d'effectuer les bons gestes, de choisir les bons doigtés et de jouer rythmiquement 'en place? ! Le CD mp3 est pour sa part composé d'autant de playbacks qu'il n'y a de lignes de basse. Soit 50 playbacks, joués à deux tempi différents : le tempo d'objectif (vitesse réelle) et le tempo de travail (vitesse lente).?Sur le playback à vitesse réelle, la basse est présente lors de la première tournerie puis s'efface pour vous laisser la place !
