Score and set of parts (Descant Recorder Treble Recorder Tenor Recorder in C (D) Bass Recorder) In addition to his large output of Vocal music Melchior Franck (c. 1580–1639) also left behind a number of collections of instrumental dance music. This edition offers an extensive selection of these pieces – some of them highly contrapuntal others of a folk-like simplicity – written for a wide variety of instrumental combinations. Franck´s pavanes of which only a few have been individually published until now are also included making this volume all the more attractive to devotees of early dance music.
