Commande du Concours International de Tours 2019 Jérémie débute le saxhorn à l?harmonie municipale de Frévent (62) à l?âge de 8 ans. 10 ans plus tard, il se dirige vers Lille pour suivre un double cursus à la Faculté de Mathématiques et au Conservatoire de Lille auprès de Gabriel Capet. Après de brillantes études en euphonium, tuba, musique de chambre, Jazz, direction d?orchestre, écriture, dans les Conservatoires de Région de Lille Rouen et Amiens, Jérémie Dufort intègre la classe de tuba de Gérard Buquet au CNSM de Paris en 2001. Il y obtiendra un premier prix à l?unanimité en tuba, un premier prix en musique de chambre et sera le premier tubiste à intégrer la classe de Jazz du CNSM. Il remporte plusieurs récompenses dont le premier prix du Concours International Philip Jones de Guebwiller (France) en 2003 et le troisième prix du Concours International Citta di Porcia (Italie) en 2004, le deuxième prix du même concours en 2008 et le premier prix à l?unanimité du Concours de la FNAPEC en 2004. En 2005, il est nommé professeur assistant de la classe de tuba au CNSM de Paris. Il y enseignera pendant 7 années. Dès 2002, il intègre l?orchestre de la Police Parisienne. En 2006, Jérémie est choisi par Lorin Maazel lors d?une audition mondiale comme tuba solo du tout nouveau « Palau de les Arts de la Reina Sofia », l?Opéra de Valencia en Espagne. Il y passera une année riche en rencontres musicales sous la direction de Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Barenboïm, Placido Domingo? En 2007, Jérémie choisit de rejoindre les rangs du prestigieux orchestre d?Harmonie de la Garde Républicaine. Parallèlement, il décide d?axer sa démarche artistique autour de la musique de chambre, du théatre musical, mais aussi autour du Jazz (Oktopussy Tuba Orkestra, Big Band d?Ivan Jullien, Jean Marie Machado?) et se passionne pour la musique contemporaine. Il est régulièrement sollicité par les plus prestigieux orchestres dont l?Ensemble Intercontemporain, l?Orchestre de Paris, l?Ensemble Modern de Frankfurt, l?Orchestre National de France, l?Orchestre National de Lille, l?Orchestre National d?Ile de France, l?Opéra de Paris, l?Opéra de Rouen, le Brussel Philharmonic? Enfin, afin de faire vivre le répertoire pour tuba solo, Jérémie nourrit de nombreux projets de concerts en soliste avec orchestre symphonique, orchestre d?harmonie ou brass band. Titulaire du Certificat d?Aptitude, Jérémie enseigne à l?école de musique de Hellemmes-Lille et au CRD d?Arras. Il dirige également l?Harmonie d?Hellemmes et l?Harmonie de Mouvaux. Tubiste du quintette de cuivres « Lille Brass Quintet », il fonde et dirige le « Lille Brass Ensemble », un ensemble de cuivres regroupant les solistes de l?Orchestre National de Lille et les professeurs du Conservatoire de Lille.

For over ten years he has been writing works in a wide variety of genres for the „BlechReiz BrassQuintett“ ensemble, in which he himself plays trumpet and piano. His field of expertise ranges from classical pieces to jazz and meditative music—and even to pop-oriented compositions. While honing his skills in ear-training and composition at the Mozarteum, Salzburg, Nico became acquainted with a wide repertoire of works as a trumpet player with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Bavarian State Opera, all of which have influenced his writing style. The driving force behind his creative work is a winning combination of passion, the fun of music-making and a desire to express, through the medium of music, feelings that are difficult to put into words. Like many of his works, Nico composed The Joy of Freedom for the „BlechReiz BrassQuintet“.
