Son titre fait référence à la messe de la dédicace de la 'Agnus Dei', 'la mémoire des victimes innocentes à Sant Anna di Camaiore dans les années de guerre 1944 (un village id Toscana) et l'idée et l'esprit du centre local de paix'.'Kyrie' et 'Agnus Dei' sont a cappella qui s'est tenue alors que 'Gloria' et 'Sanctus' du choeur et l'assemblée sont conçus ensemble. Will Todd's Jazz Missa Brevis gives new life to the sung Latin Mass texts in an accessible, short setting which embraces a variety of jazz styles, from the swinging jazz waltz Kyrie to the up-beat Latin-groove Gloria. The smooth jazz ballad Sanctus, 7/8 Benedictus and soulful Agnus Dei complete this inspiring Mass setting. Underpinned by Todd's characteristic jazz harmonies and melodic craftsmanship, it is suitable for performance both liturgically and as part of a concert by mixed choirs of all abilities. Composed for the film Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam - The World is not Enough (Loyola Productions Inc.) marking the 450th anniversary of the death of St Ignatius Loyola. Ignatius who died on 31 July 1556 was the founder of the Society of Jesus which today is known as the Jesuit order. This simple attractive piece sets the composer's lyrics (Latin/English macaronic) based on Loyola's writings and scripture. Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam is a versatile and sacred performance suitable for use as introit or communion antehm or as a reflective worship song.

Commissioned by Furman University for the inauguration of its 12th president Jay Bocook's Gloriana is based on The Faerie Queene an incomplete English epic poem written by Edmund Spenser and dedicated to Queen Elizabeth I. In the poem Queen Elizabeth is represented as the faerie queene herself Gloriana. This stately work for winds and percussion has a regal quality enhanced by soaring melodies and punctuated with fanfare-like brass figures. William Mathias' Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam for SATB and organ is a glorious fanfare crackling with life and vitality. Dancing syncopated rhythms and bare harmony give the fanfare real momentum and bite. This approachable work is well within the grasp of most choirs.

Missa O Rex gloriaeited by David Trendell is an exquisite and previously unpublished setting of the mass by the Spanish composer Alonso Lobo (1555-1617).

A review in the June 2016 edition of Organist's Review states that the 'choral writing builds to a dramatic and radiant climax' subsiding 'slowly to an ethereal conclusion.'

Aus: Gloria-The Proclamation: Gloria in Excelsis Deo is the opening movement of Karl Jenkins' popular Gloria arranged for mixed voices and piano. Gloria is a large-scale festival piece commissioned by the Really Big Chorus for performance at London's Royal Albert Hall.Cast in five movements 'Gloria' sets the traditional Latin text 'Gloria in excelsis Deo' and incorporates a setting of Psalm 150 in alternative Hebrew or Latin texts. Between the movements readings from Hinduism Buddhism Taoism and Islam are given in English or any language of choice. 'Gloria' follows 'Te Deum' 'Stabat Mater' and 'Requiem' from the composer of 'Adiemus' and 'The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace'.The complete vocal score of Gloria is available as BH12083.

Vivaldi wrote the “Gloria” as a self-contained work in the style of a concertante mass. However it was probably also performed within church services. The scoring of the solo voices (SSA) suggests that the work was written during his period at the Ospedale della Pietà around 1716. In the twelve movements of the “Gloria” Vivaldi displays the whole range of his mastery from festive sublime outer movements totender transparently scored solo passages. The same mastery has also been applied to the “ Kyrie” RV 587 (BA 8950) scored for two choirs and two groups of stringed instruments. The date of its composition remains unclear. It is a purely a choral work without solo passages. Both works can be performed independently but can also be combined as a kind of short mass. Although the authenticity of the autograph manuscript score is beyond doubt these new editions contain some re-evaluations in phrasing and performance practice which go beyond what other editions have to offer.
