On The Fiddle consists of three pieces derived from scores to three Peter Greenaway films. The first piece Full Fathom Five, is a version of the Shakespeare song setting made for Prospero's Books (1990). The second Angelfish Decay, is an arrangement of an arrangement: the music for the speeded up time lapse decaying animal sequences in A Zed And Two Noughts (1985) was written for two violins and a harpsichord. This was subsequently 'reduced' to a violin solo for Zoo Caprices (1986). For On The Fiddle a piano part has been added. The final piece Miserere Paraphrase, was written for use in The Cook, The Thief, His Wife And Her Lover (1989), and is a transcription of Nyman's setting of the 'Miserere' text (Psalm 51) sung in the film by a boy soprano and mixed chorus. This version for cello and piano written in 1997. Duration c.15 mins.

Transcribed and arranged for Piano by Lawrence RosenA new, 3-volume set of Mozart Dances for Piano, 14 of these dance suites are faithfully transcribed for piano at the early to advanced intermediate level. Almost all appear as new Mozart music for piano (except for the Six German Dances, K. 509, which Mozart himself arranged for piano.) Within each volume, they are arranged by increasing difficulty. They are eminently suited for teaching, recital and concert performance, encores, recording, sight-reading practice, and theoretical study. We sincerely hope you enjoy them as much as we did in discovering and creating these little masterpieces. The series Morgen kommt der Weihnachtsmann has been conceived for making music together in the Christmas season. Special emphasis is placed on duet playing with 2 identical instruments: with 2 violins (ED 5475), 2 violas (ED 7935), 2 violoncellos (ED 5548), 2 descant recorders (ED 7934), and 2 flutes (ED 8026). Since words have been set to the upper part (melody part), the obvious thing to do would be to perform the pieces with voice and accompaniment. The settings are easy so that even musicians with little practice can play along. This series includes two editions for piano which can be combined with all instrumental volumes: In addition to the known very easy edition for piano beginners with mainly two-part settings in five-note range ('very easy', ED 5325), there is for the first time a more sonorous two- or three-part edition for moderately advanced players ('easy to intermediate', ED 22507). This new edition is ideal for accompanying the instrumental parts.

Peter Bartók casts a fresh eye on the Petite Suite, originally published as an excerpt of five pieces from the composer's 44 Duos for Two Violins (1938). A 1943 second publication added a sixth piece, and today's third edition returns to the original sketches and proofs to create a definitive, corrected version. For intermediate to advanced pianists.
