Easy Concert Pieces Band 1

For use in lessons or for your first concert performances - Easy Concert Pieces for Guitar contains easy and well-known solo pieces carefully selected according to technical and musical demands: Volume 1 EasyBesides original guitar pieces by Aguado Mertz Diabelli Carulli Sor or Carcassi there are readily playable arrangements of classical masterpieces such as Vivaldi's Four Seasons Handel's Firework Music Mozart's Magic Flute or Verdi's Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves. These arrangements are designed to give access to masterpieces of the concert repertoire and to promote enjoyment of classicalmusic. All the pieces are included on the accompanying CD.

The Easy Concert Pieces series presents easy piano pieces for beginners in progressive order. Two volumes have already been published with a third volume being in preparation. These pieces are intended to complement a piano tutorial method and are particularly suitable for performance at auditions concerts competitions and examinations. They offer varied repertoire in a broad selection of pieces from the Baroque Classical Romantic and Modern eras. Volume 1 (ED 22547) is meant for beginners. The pieces span a single octave and stay within five-finger positions. Other criteria for the selection of the pieces are simple rhythmsand very easy chord playing. Crossing the thumb under polyphony and pedal are not required yet. Volume 2 (ED 22548) extends the range to two octaves. Hand turns (crossing the thumb under) pedal simple polyphony and three- or four-part chords all feature in Volume 2 as do simple ornaments playing cantabile and differentiating between melody and accompaniment.

Pieces typical of their era and suitable for auditions, public performance, competitions or examinations are ordered according to level of difficulty in three volumes. These Easy Concert Pieces also provide appealing additional material for use in trumpet lessons.All the pieces are recorded and included for audio download with each book, both in full and playback versions (piano accompaniment). Simple and memorable rhythms, readily playable note sequences and patterns of articulation that can be mastered quickly and easily make this book ideal for beginners.Volume 2 (ED 22556) contains easy to intermediate pieces with a range no higher than f?. Besides extending rhythmic scope and requiring a little more in terms of phrasing and articulation, these pieces will encourage further exploration of musical contrasts.Volume 3 (ED 22557) is of medium difficulty and intended for players with a well-developed embouchure who can play notes up to written g?, though this note only appears as a short top note. 25 Easy Pieces from 5 Centuries in half and 1st Position-The ‘Easy Concert Pieces’ series presents a varied selection of easy concert pieces for double bass and piano from the Renaissance Baroque and Classical periods through to the modern era. To facilitate choosing individual pieces for performance and auditions at music schools competitions or examinations these pieces have been ordered according to level of musical and technical difficulty.Book 1 (ED 22551) contains pieces in half and first position. Pieces in each position and some using position changes are presented from each era. Simple techniques such as portato staccato and legato bowing are introduced along with pizzicato using rudimentary dynamics rangingfrom piano to forte crescendo and decrescendo and simple phrasing. The pieces selected here are varied in character with memorable tunes a few different time signatures and simple rhythms.Book 2 (ED 22552) in preperation.
