Written by Alan Taylor originally for the Chipperfield Choir resident choir at Chipperfield Church in Hertfordshire. Alan was a chorister at St. Catherine's College Cambridge and graduated with an honours degree in Music followed by a post-graduate Diploma in Education. A first post as a Head of Music in Nottinghamshire was followed by his appointment in 1961 as Director of Music at The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School in Elstree where he spent the remaining 35 years of his teaching career. Out of school Alanworked with all the major conductors and his choirs were continually in demand for performances in the London concert halls especially at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden taking part in many broadcasts Promenade Concerts and recordings. His contribution to Music and Music Education was recognised in 1982 with the award of an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours.

This interesting new take on the classic carol O Little Town Of Bethlehem by Swiss composer Carl Rütti formed one-third of a trio of carols that reinvigorated the old favourites with fresh and interesting musical elements. The Three Carols medley was initiated in 1996 with O Little Town Of Bethlehem forming the Adagio section. Carl Rütti's work blends the English choral tradition with other genres such as jazz and blues. His work defies expectations and as such this would make a great piece to perform for choirs who are perhaps tired of the traditional Christmas choral works. In theSeptember 2015 issue of Organists' Review Michael Overbury wrote that this piece is '[w]ell crafter and emotionally engaging...the painfully bittersweet clashes convey the poignancy of the Incarnation superbly well.'

Paul Mealor's I Pray for Treble Voices SATB Chorus and Piano. This is the Vocal Score for this sublime choral work written by the renowned Welsh composer whose works have reached No.1 in the UK Singles Chart as well as having been sung at the 2011 Royal Wedding. Featuring words and music composed by Paul Mealor this festive-themed carol is a beautiful work for choirs looking for a fresh addition to their Christmas repertoire. Including interpolations from favourite carols like 'Silent Night' and 'O Come All Ye Faithful' this truly has the makings of a modern classic.  Composed byMealor I Pray has a strong musical pedigree with the composer having written for the 2011 Royal Wedding and the Military Wives Choir whose rendition of 'Wherever You Are' shot to number one in the UK.
