Stamps-Baxter Music Company put out a new singing
pamphlet, entitled Sparkling Gems. The theme of this
hymnal was expressed by song--two of them, in fact.
Baxter wrote a hymn called Sparkling Gems as the
Preface to the volume; however, Stamps also wrote one,

his hymn. Hopefully you will enjoy it, and the hymn
will rise to the prominence it once held as the title
entry of the volume.

Safe will guide your feet as they’re guiding
mine;
In the upward way,
To the land of day,
Sparkling gems of Truth shine on.
2. Sparkling gems of Light from the Word of God,
Lighted up the path that the pilgrim trod;
Just the same today,
They will light the way,
Sparkling gems of Light shine on.
3. Sparkling gems of Hope in the Christian’s
breast,
Drive away all fear, bringing perfect rest;
In a little while,
We shall see His smile,
Sparkling gems of Hope shine on.
