This sheet music is part of the collection of hoyle :
Steamboats & Rivers - Popular Songs

Popular songs about steamboats, the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers, and the places along the rivers, in lead sheet format.
These lead sheets are in guitar and string band keys - A, E, D, G, and C. Most songs are pitched in keys suitable for alto and baritone voices.
Many of these songs from the early Twentieth Century use words referring to African Americans which now make us uncomfortable. Lyrics on the lead sheets have, for the most part, been adapted for modern use. Performers should carefully study and consider how audiences will hear these songs before performing them.
In many cases, a pdf of the original sheet music is posted along with the lead sheet.
This is an ongoing project. Songs will keep being added to the collection.
