And our Father Adam,

Refrain:

Year B
1. The life of Noah teaches
May humanity be lost
When his decisions extinguish
The goodness that comes from the Father.
Baptism will be the Ark
who will save us from death.
Year C
1. The slavery of sin,
The attraction to evil
make the soul withered.
By the baptismal grace,
Believing that Jesus is God
Promises us the joy of heaven.
LYRICS Année A :
1. Quand la Bible parle d'Ève
Et de notre Père Adam,
C'est pour dire que Dieu rêve
Pour nous d'un bien éclatant.
Le libre arbitre est la sève
Qui nourrit tous ses enfants.
Refrain :
Qui choisira le bien
Quand vient le Tentateur ?
Jésus le seul parvient
À vaincre l'Imposteur.
Année B
1. La vie de Noé enseigne
Que l'humanité se perd,
Quand ses décisions éteignent
La bonté qui vient du Père.
Le Baptême sera l'Arche
Qui à la mort nous arrache.
Année C :
1. L'esclavage du péché,
L'attirance pour le mal
Rendent l'âme desséchée.
Par la grâce baptismale,
Croire que Jésus est Dieu
Nous promet la joie des cieux.
La suite est commune aux trois années liturgiques :
2. Le serpent fait miroiter
À ceux qui vivent ici
Qu'un désir de sainteté
Serait un choix d'ineptie.
Qui suivrait l'avidité
Aurait ainsi réussi !
3. Satisfaire tous nos sens
Est la tentation première.
Le plaisir serait l'urgence,
Notre fierté ordinaire.
Il est tard quand l'expérience
Surgit d'une issue amère.
4. Accumuler sans mesure
Tente souvent l'être humain.
Satan cite l'Écriture
Pour nous tromper en chemin.
Jésus rendra leur droiture
Aux purs préceptes divins.
5. Triompher et dominer
Quelle ambition effrénée !
Même Dieu devrait trôner
Que pour mieux nous exaucer !
Or Jésus a renoncé
Aux honneurs pour s'abaisser.
