His instructors have included Stephen Siegel, Allen Shawn, John Heiss, and Hollywood composer Erik Lundborg (composition); Dr. Dwight Killam (organ); Daniel Pinkham (organ, harpsichord, and sacred music); Ann Cain, Jane Jenkins, and John Van Buskirk (piano); and Lee Hyla (orchestration).
