This is a piece which is loosely based on japanese scales. I have long been interested in japanese culture and next year (in 2016) I plan to go to Japan for the first time. This piece was written in anticipation of that visit.

Concert in Kyoto

I won a composition contest in Japan. On the 25th of March The Rosetta Art & Music Collective will play my "Uguisu variations" in Kyoto. (Uguisu is the bird in the picture) And the great thing is that I will actually be there for the concert.
