The Puerto Rican Danza is a very rhythmic but elegant salon music developed in the 19th century. It shares the same ancestry as the Cuban "Havanera". Borinquen was the Taino Indian's name for the island of Puerto Rico. Luis Rodríguez Miranda was born in 1875 and died in1949.
