Thank you dear Aaron. Music from the Renaissance is based on a superposition of third parties. Of course, you can not change the third. Then they are major, minor or diminished. But you can also alter. And then, the real music begins. The game for the composer is to ensure that every note of a voice is a distance unison, a third or a fifth of the note immediately above. It is very easy to understand. Music, it is not something else. The music is something fun to understand. The harmony does not exist for me. Only counterpoint exists. As well as the reversal of an agreement is a useless thing to understand. Take the three notes of a chord and put it to one of the voices of your choice. When made, place the bass sometimes, as here, the flute, the oboe or sometimes sometimes bassoon. The rest are only theories for the young designer tired and confused. What is clear is stated clearly said the great French poet "Boileau". This Cartesian was right. Thank you again my friend Aaron for the kindness and intelligence of your words. François.

A marvelous introduction to counterpoint. Your teaching is clear and resolute. It reminds me of Fuchs. Thank you for sharing, cher Francois.
