Instrumentation :

Trumpet solo

Style :

Classical

The duration of this music is around 2 minutes. The piece is written in the key of Eb major and it modulates into the dominant key, Bb major at the beginning of the second section, it then returns to the home key at bar 24. The time signature like most, if not all minuets, is 3/4 and the tempo is Allegretto.

This is a free sheet music for solo trumpet.

The Minuet's origin lies in a dance which was in triple time and moderate tempo. The name is derived from the Italian word 'minuetto' which means small or delicate. During its most fashionable period the minuet was danced in a slow and courtly manner, however when the music was used for instrumental purposes the tempo was quicker. Baroque composers coupled minuets together such that the first minuet was followed by a second minuet, which in turn was then followed by a repeat of the first minuet. The second minuet was often orchestrated using three instruments to contrast with the full orchestra in the first minuet, and hence came to be known as the 'trio' section. Ultimately this second minuet continued to be named a 'trio', whether or not it was orchestrated in such a fashion.

Joli, pas trop haut, pas trop dur, on peut éventuellement jouer la reprise sol mi fa sol mi fa à l'octave inférieur, puis continuer normaloement
