The only song I've written to date, it came about
more-or-less spontaneously when I was practicing
reading the poem aloud & found myself singing it
instead. While I posted a version of this to YouTube, I
had not written it out completely at the time, and when
I did a more complete version to post here, I made some
modifications which are not in the video or MP3. I will
be hopefully re-recording sometime soon.
The piece may also be played as a piano solo, as the
vocal part is an obligato...(+)
