A sax quartet feature with concert band in variation form, with "Lonesome Valley" a featured countermelody in the gospel variation, "Amazing Grace" is put through its paces while highlighting the quartet in its own right, and in the variety of uses for the saxophone section within the framework of the wind band. Scoring is flexible for modest forces.
