I am classically trained on the harpsichord (Oberlin Conservatory) and now play in a band for young children. The musicians are wonderfully talented and we do pretty much everything, but mostly classic rock. The drummer, who is immensely talented, loves jazz fusion. We have many opportunities to improvise and are given quite a wide range of freedom in this regard. I thought I would surprise him with a tune or two.
