particularly for the Feast of St Michael and All
Angels. (There is considerable shortage of music for
this Feast - difficult for churches whose patronal
falls on it!) The brief text combines the opening of
Edmund Spenser’s Faerie Queene (1590), Book 2, canto
8, stanza 1 (on angelic care), with Psalm 91:11. I have
