The WA-47jr is a modern FET modern version of the classic' 47 and transformerless transformer which has been used in many tubes of the last 50 years. The WA-47jr is manufactured with discrete components and has three directionalities, it is designed for use in professional studio, home studio, live, and broadcast applications. It is ideal for recording voices, electric or acoustic instruments. The WA-47jr uses an in-house reproduction of the vintage k47 capsule, designed with the same drill pattern and frequency response. The Warm Audio version of this capsule (model WA-47-B-80v) is meticulously manufactured by an Australian capsule manufacturer who possesses the required know-how and skills and has enabled Warm Audio to capture the very essence of this type of microphone. The low noise level of the WA-47jr and the completely discreet signal path coupled with an excellent capsule of this type makes it possible to obtain a sound very close to the classic' 47 microphone, but at a low cost. The WA-47jr uses the same capsule as its big brother the WA-47 tube. The WA-47jr circuitry has been upgraded and simplified from the classic' 47 tube circuitry, using high quality Toshiba FETs, Wima film capacitors and Panasonic electrolytic capacitors. This combination provides a quality and sound that is far superior to what is found in this price range.
