Composed for the New Year's Imperial Poetry Competition in 1929, this music describes a springtime boat trip. It is a standard and well-known work for the Japanese bamboo flute (shakuhachi) and the koto, a traditional stringed instrument. This adaptation is for 2 C flutes and alto flute.
