"My Way" was composed in 1967 by French songwriter Jacques Revaux, with lyrics by Claude François and Gilles Thibaut, originally titled "Comme d'habitude" ("As Usual").
 
Canadian singer Paul Anka heard the original French recording on vacation that same year, and decided to re-write the song with English lyrics - "My Way" was born.
 
Frank Sinatra recorded the song in one take in December 1968, and the rest is history - it became one of his biggest hits and signature song after its release in the following year.
 
"My Way" is an iconic traditional pop song, and it makes for a wonderful piano cover!
