Composed by Darren Lloyd. Arranged by Darren Lloyd. Instructional,Jazz. 15 pages. Darren Lloyd #2078135. Published by Darren Lloyd (A0.855652).

CONTENTS Each study has a simple melody (which itself is an easy study) and two variations. The first two tunes are originals by Darren Lloyd. The second two studies have been written over the chords of well know jazz progressions, the first being 'Have you met miss Jones?' the second being 'Pent up house' by Sonny Rollins. All studies are in G major and can be played in 1st position. THE STUDIES FOUND WITHIN THIS EBOOK HAVE BEEN WRITTEN WITH THE INTERMEDIATE PLAYER IN MIND. BY PRACTISING THIS MATERIAL, YOU WILL DEVELOP YOUR TECHNIQUE AND JAZZ PHRASING. PRACTICE THESE STUDIES TO A METRONOME. ONCE YOU HAVE MASTERED EACH STUDY PRACTICE ALONG TO YOUR FAVOURTITE VERSIONS OF THESE TUNES OR USE THE FREE BACKING TRACKS ON YOUTUBE, EVEN BETTER, TRY THEM WITH A PIANIST OR GUITAR PLAYER! FOR THE TWO ORIGINAL TUNES I SUGGEST USING IREAL, GARAGEBAND OR BAND IN A BOX TO CREATE YOUR OWN PLAYALONGS! I HOPE YOU HAVE FUN PRACTISING AND PLAYING THESE STUDIES. DARREN LLOYD.
