Composed by Jeffrey Ouper. Arranged by Jeffrey Ouper. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 4 pages. Jeffrey Ouper #1933275. Published by Jeffrey Ouper (A0.866201).

A beautiful theme by Claude Debussy "The Girl with the Flaxen Hair" has been designed to function as a solo unaccompanied flute solo. Following the theme are 4 different original variations in different characters in the same key. They are of different difficulties and increase in difficulty resulting in the brilliant finale variation with the theme elaborated. The idea of the variations on the theme is influenced by Eyck's Fluyten Lusthof, a famous collection of theme and variations. Debussy's piece was originally written as a solo piano prelude inspired by a poem of the same name. Jeff's variations pay tribute to Debussy's simple and famous melody. Duration is about 7.5 minutes with pauses between variations.
