This prelude integrates a collection of eight hymn arrangements inspired by Brazilian music, called Prelúdio à Brasileira.
The great differential of Prelúdio à Brasileira is on combining the spirituality evoked by hymn melodies (such as Eventide, Roll Call) with the characteristic elements of Brazilian musical genres and with the pianistic virtuosity that is explored in each piece.
