A calm, contemplative chorale prelude arrangement of the popular hymn tune "Rockingham", well known as the melody for "When I survey the wondrous cross". The melody was adapted by Edward Miller (1735-1807) from an earlier tune, "Tunebridge", which had been published in Aaron Williams's "A Second Supplement to Psalmody in Miniature", dating back to c.1780.
