Starting quite slow, the tempo doubles when the piece becomes a dance. Very melodic and cheerful, this piece is really enjoyable to play and hear. Joseph Edouard Barat (1882-1963) composed numerous pieces for winds and Piano accompaniment such as 'Andante and Allegro' or 'Oriental' among many others.
