My second favourite strings

I'm usually a Rotosound guy. Elixirs sound good and lasts for a _very_ long time, but the trade off is that you lose some of that ultra-fresh-string-zing. I use Elixirs if I for some reason needs to make a pair last for a while and don't want to go through a box of strings, for example long pre-productions.

So even if they don't sound like super-fresh roundwounds, they do keep their near-fresh sound almost forever. Which is a good trade-off.

I do wish they would make a .110 pair though. If they did I'd add another star.

Not so cheap, but worth every penny

Using them on a passive Fender Jazz. I was using mostly Daddario EXL strings in the past, they were ok, but these Elexir strings are great! I know, that EXL is nickel and these Elixir are stainless steel, but the overall sound is more focused and feel is much better, easier to move around, personally to me. And they stay fresh for a really long, long time! Love it!

lange frischer Saitensound
cleman 03.12.2020
