Break easily
Stefan VH 11.07.2020
d'Addario used to be my go-to-strings yet I've noticed in the last few years that they break easily. Out of nowhere they snap.
I don't have it with other brands.
Sound is great and plays nice.

C
Nice looking strings. but the sound is not for me
CSF 03.04.2018
Nice looking black strings, I used them on a concert ukulele. They have a smooth feel and a nice mellow tone. These strings are not as loud as the other popular nylgut strings.

My main problem was the really bad intonation, especially on the C string, even the D on the second fret was way off. Of course this could have been solved by making a new compensated saddle for this string set if someone really likes this mellow tone.

J
Serous alternative to Aquila and Martin strings
John3168 11.01.2016
The usual settling in time when fitting new sets of strings, but after this they give a good tone and are as easy to keep in pitch as any other uke strings.

Length of each string is quite long, so as to make the set Ok for either soprano or concert ukes.

Unlike Aquila the feel of the strings are smoother, being black they blend into the neck/uke body more cosmetically.

I replaced the strings on my ovation electrouke, concert acoustic uke and soprano uke - all give me a good tone, the electro-uke sounding nice with these strings.

I've got ukes with Martin and Aquila strings on - these cost me more money - but Daddario are as good so why pay more?.
