Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
i am kind of tone deaf so i have no idea if the sound is good or not but i can play a bit and i have no problem with the ukulele musically. the thing is i buy this ukulele for its color and i am greatly disappointed as i receive a green guitar with PURPLE line and the green is different shade from the picture. When the picture clearly shows a magenta/pink line. i really would like to return it but that would greatly cost my time and so here i am just accepting my fate.
I play instruments as a hobby and I wanted to try something new for this spring and summer, so I decided to get my first uke. I did my research on the instrument and came across this adorable thing (isn't the giraffe adorable? isn't it??).
Anyhow, it took a while for my order to be processed, but when my package finally came, I was super excited. Now, I know that ukes are little instruments and therefore, they're really light. for some reason, this one seemed like it was too light. The material isn't the greatest quality, but this is an excellent one if you are just starting out (or you just want to have it as an adorable keepsake)
Because I take my music seriously, I plan on getting one of much better quality later on. I was glad that I got this one on sale for $34.99, but I will say that for the original price of $79.99.....you can get a BIGGER uke of MUCH MUCH MUCH better quality from somewhere else.
I had a little difficulty tuning it. The last string kept going out of tune and I had to adjust it every 5 minutes. Wasn't too happy about that. I'm not sure if that's normal for most ukes, but I intend to get a new set of strings anyhow.
But, all in all, not bad gift for anyone just starting out. I think kids will love the giraffe (SO CUTE!!). I'm actually planning on getting another one for a friend of mine, who's also a first-time uke player. :)
garbage. not even fit for a decoration. poorly made, poorly packed. Priced way too high. Returned mine. Return process was the most desirable thing about the purchase. Save your $$$ and buy a much better quality one from Guitar Center or someplace like that.
I bought this for my 7 yr old daughter. Got it quickly! Very Cute if that is what you are going for. My daughter wanted something to take lessons with so we needed it to hold a tone. I took the Ukulele to a music shop to have it tuned, within 10 mins of her putting it in tune - it was out again after a SMALL amount of playing. She said it would need tuned everytime when playing & my little musician would get discouraged & give up on it :( as well as her teacher. After hearing the difference in sound of the Amazon purchase vs the Music store, I purchased a better one on the spot & sent the Amazon one back asap! Yes I spent more money, but if you want it to last, i suguest going to a store to hear the instrument in person - yes you will have to leave your computer like i did but I'm so glad it did.
Very bad quality. Paint was cracked at several spots, the hole was badly cut and it showed. First impression was horrible, so didn't even bother to try the sound. I returned it immediately.

Just look at the pictures...
