My previous set of D'Addarios were fine, but I wanted to try something new.
LaBellas had great reviews and were in the correct gauge and scale length for my bass, so I ordered a set.
Once they came in and I installed/tuned them, I was thoroughly impressed! The finish on the strings is like a fine polish and it's crazy how smooth they are, very easy on my fingertips. The black string ends look really cool against my bass' headstock as well!
Honestly I'm not much of a player, so my opinion on tone may not be worth much, but I thought they sounded quite nice, and my bass player friend is going to give my bass a try soon. I'll try and report back what he says!

Don’t hesitate, get these strings and never look back.
(Oh and another reviewer showed a string breaking after a couple uses, but you cannot use this set for string through bodies.)
