Fender Quality
A Name to Depend On
Fender has been the instrument of choice for many of the greatest musicians since 1946. Fender's popularity through the generations is a result of our design and innovations and commitment to quality. These strings reflect this legacy and are worthy of the Fender name.
Fender strings are proudly crafted in the United States of America. Attention to detail and the finest materials ensure that you will get the best feeling and greatest sounding string, set after set.
Factory Fresh
Manufacturing world-class instruments is an art form, and something Fender takes great pride in. However a guitar is only going to sound as good as the strings you put on it. That's why we equip every Fender instrument with Fender strings so it arrives straight from the shop floor to your door optimized for the best possible performance.
Choosing The Right Gauge
String Gauge can play an important role in how efficiently your instrument performs. Typically thicker gauges provide a hotter output, more low-end frequency response, and overall a richer tone.
The gauge also greatly effects the string tension on your guitar which can alter how difficult your guitar is to play. If the tension is too light it can cause tuning stability issues, if it’s too heavy it can make it too difficult to bend notes. A good general rule of thumb is to see what gauge strings your guitar manufacturer placed on the instrument out of the factory and try that first.
It’s also important to note that if you go super-heavy with strings you may have to file your nut for the strings to seat properly. Once this is performed, the guitar will no longer be in optimal condition to move down in gauges. So it is recommended to start on the lighter side and move upward until you find your sweet spot. Scale length of your guitar can also play a large part in string tension and the smaller the scale typically the heavier gauge string you want.

They are good strings, but somewhat restrained in tone compared to the other brands. They also wear out quicker than the Slinkys or XLs. I play a lot and therefore wear strings out pretty fast. I’ve found that the extra money spent on the other brands is worth it, as I like the tone better on either of the other brands and they both last longer.
All that said, these do sound good, if not remarkable, and represent a great value for the money. If you play infrequently and are not looking for something with heavier or brighter tone, they represent good value for what they cost.
Reviewers who said they had strings snap while putting them on, or within 10 minutes of playing, are simply doing something wrong. There’s no reason that should happen if they are strung up properly.
I didn't notice that these weren't bullets when I bought them, I wish I had bought the bullets as they just seem like a better fit for a Strat.
But, what I did like about these as that they are color coded for installation. The ends are just the right size too.
These are just a bit heavier than the 350's but have the same sound. So far, no notice of wear yet either so I think I finally found my perfect Fender Electric string. They sound fantastic, bend well and were easy to install. I have 3 Strats and 1 Telecaster, these will be my strings of choice for all of these. I like buying the multi-packs. They are inexpensive and each set is packaged individually. I change strings often too, so always want plenty on hand. Strings can make or break a guitar. Put bad strings on a good guitar and it sounds bad. Put good string on a cheap guitar, and it sounds better. Put these on a high end guitar and you have the perfect formula. Everyone has their own personal reference when it comes to strings, this is my choice for Fender Electrics.
