Ze toont een wereld vol schoonheid, van de open zee en de zon aan de horizon... Tenslotte keert het belangrijkste thema terug in een briljant einde: de aankomst in Amerika! Atlantic Overture (Atlantische Ouvertüre“) ist ein glanzvolles Stück, das eine Schiffsreise von Europa nach Amerika beschreibt. Die Musik erzählt die Geschichte eines Schiffes, das die europäische Küste verlässt und sich auf eine Reise begibt, die die Schönheit des offenen Meeres und das Sonnenlicht am Horizont nachzeichnet. Atlantic Overture est un morceau scintillant qui symbolise la traversée en bateau d’Europe aux Amériques. Le thème principal retourne enfin dans une fin brillante qui annonce l’arrivée en Amérique. Atlantic Overture (Ouverture Atlantica) è un brano scintillante che rappresenta un viaggio in nave dall’Europa alle Americhe. La musica racconta la storia di una nave che salpa dalla costa europea per un viaggio e descrive la bellezza del mare aperto e della luce del sole all’orizzonte. Alla fine il tema principale ritorna in un finale brillante che annuncia l’arrivo in America.

Depicti ng the awe-inspiring moments after a thunderstorm, this concert overture is an exciting and dramatic work that portrays streaks of sunlight jetting toward the horizon. A lyrical opening sets the tone as the clouds begin to break, and then the music takes off in a frenzy of excitement as the sunlight breaks through. Incredible harmonies intertwine with dynamic fanfares and woodwind flourishes as the work continues to develop. A lyrical section provides a brief respite to the active rhythmic pulse before the music takes off again, building to one last heroic statement of the main theme. Inspirational!
