Now all of Bärenreiter's new performing editions of Bach's organ works are being revised to reflect the current state of scholarship and to convey maximum fidelity to the sources by being linked to 'Bach digital'. The present volume is an updated edition of Series IV, Volume 6 of the 'New Bach Edition' (NBA), prepared by Dietrich Kilian in 1964. The discovery of new sources and a reassessment of existing handwritten copies have brought about changes to the contents of the volume, which now includes the 'Fantasia in C minor' (BWV 1121), the 'Fantasia in G major' (BWV 571), the 'Fugue in G major' (BWV 577) and the C major version of the 'Toccata and Fugue in E major' (BWV 566). On the other hand, the 'Prelude in G major' (BWV 568) as well as the alternative versions of the 'Fugue in C minor' (BWV 574a) and the 'Prelude in A major' (BWV 536a) have been discarded as presumably spurious. Besides the new compilation and corrections of the musical text, the volume also contains a detailed Foreword by Peter Wollny with observations on each work and the extant sources. Page turns have been re-examined and improved. In collaboration with the Bach Archive Leipzig and its 'Bach' digital database, links are provided to all the major sources. Fantasias and Selected Works. Par BYRD WILLIAM. William Byrd is one of the great English composers of the late 16th and early 17th centuries. Today this creative Catholic at the Anglican court of Elisabeth I is known primarily for his masses, motets and madrigals. However, in addition to vocal music he also composed an impressive number of keyboard pieces that brook comparison in quality with those of his younger contemporaries Frescobaldi and Sweelinck. This edition contains a selection of his major works for keyboard instruments, some taken from such famous collections as the 'Fitzwilliam Virginal Book”, 'Parthenia” and 'My Ladye Nevells Booke”. In addition to five large-scale fantasias, including the monumental 'Fantasia in a”, there are smaller preludes and voluntaries and three contrapuntal hexachord settings. As one of the most influential Reger interpreters, Schmeding not only includes the latest research, but also addresses the need for a contemporary interpretation of the chorale fantasias on modern organs. First volume of the first tome of the Oeuvres Complètes Pour Clavecin by Johann Jakob Froberger this book (Version 1649) is a set of twenty-four pieces for Harpsichord. Edited by Howard Schott the book has its preface and information in French English and German. It features six Toccatas six Fantasias six Canzones 5 Suites and a partite. The works are of medium difficulty and can be played by intermediate players. Johann Jakob Froberger (1616-1667) is a German Baroque composer. He was a really famous musician amongst his peers and influenced many of them.

As early as the age of four Mozart amazed his father with his quickness of mind as regards Piano-playing. The first works are easy dance movements by the five-year-old who developed with extraordinary speed. During his lifetime he created several Piano pieces apart from the sonatas and variations. The pieces from his youth most of them written down in the music book for Maria Anna Mozart and in the so-called London sketch book are mostly short dance movements but there are already lengthy individual movements as well. From the mid-1770s there are mainly larger individual works including fantasias and rondos which can stand as equals to the sonatas andvariations of the Viennese period.Volume 2 contains the mature works from the later years of composition including the popular fantasias and rondos as well as several sonata form drafts completed by comtemporaries of Mozart. In addition the present edition contains solo piano versions of the Concert Rondo K 382 the rondo from the Duo for Violin and Viola K 423 as well as the overture of the 'Abduction from the Seraglio'.
