Potes Suite is a set of four contemporary pieces for flute and guitar composed by the flute and guitar duo ?Nuclear Okra.? The pieces are inspired by the rich tapestry of diverse cultures living in the medieval mountain village of Potes, Spain. The suite incorporates a wide variety of musical styles, rhythms, and techniques drawn from folk, flamenco, Balkan, jazz, blues, country, classical, West African, and Latin American genres. Each piece is approximately four minutes in length. Includes access to online audio.

9 Pieces for Solo Guitar and 1 Duet. Maria Linnemann was born in Amsterdam in 1947 and grew up in England. She attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, studying conducting, piano and violin. Later, inspired by the guitarist, viola player and painter, Martin Nicolai, she turned to the guitar. Since 1971 she has lived and worked in Germany as a musician, composer and pedagogue. She has travelled through many countries and lived and worked in China for five years. Many of her compositions, numbering around 500 to date, were written on these journeys, and include works for solo guitar, guitar duets and trios, songs and chamber music. Maria Linnemann?s music is loved and much played all over the world.

J'ai été séduit par les qualités mélodiques et l'efficacité des différentes techniques de guitare impliqués dans ces travaux, et en même temps fournir aux étudiants une nouvelle et intéressante répertoire. / Guitare

En effet, il est peu de reconnaître l'influence de la musique populaire brésilienne - genre dont Villa-Lobos est d'ailleurs issu - dans mes inspirations de jeune compositeur, de guitariste aussi. En quatre tableaux aux titres parfois jeux de mots, cet hommage raconte ainsi, à sa manière, la passion d'un musicien français pour cet immense créateur et, à travers lui, pour le Brésil tout entier.
