Carl Czerny is considered by many to be the father of modern Piano technique. He composed over 1 000 works including hundreds of Piano studies. Germer carefully selected and organized 3 volumes ofCzerny studies in progressive difficulty from various volumes.Volume 1 Part 1 moves quickly from the early intermediate to intermediate level while Volume 1 Part 2 moves from the late intermediate into theadvanced levels. The gradual progression of difficulty found in these volumes offers the best approach to Czerny studies for Piano students of all ages.

Ma mre l'oye (Mother Goose Suite) is typical of Ravel's style with its modal melodies, use of dance forms and rhythmic precision. For this suite, Ravel selected favorite French fairy tales with references to fantasy, dreams and legends of childhood, and provided simple and delicate settings for piano duet (one piano, four hands). Although featuring childhood themes, Ma mre l'oye is at the late intermediate to early advanced level. This teaching/performance edition contains the suite in its entirety and is based on the first edition published by Durand in 1910. Editors Gayle Kowalchyk and E. L.
