Violin Concerto In G major is considered to be the earliest of Joseph Haydn?s Violin concertos and was apparently written before he was taken into the service of the Esterházy family. It was firstpublished a century after the Austrian composer?s death in 1909 and was little known before. The concerto is lovely and ingratiating to the ear consisting of 3 movements (Allegro moderato Adagio andAllegro) with a total performance time of under 20 minutes.
