Carl Nielsen's Fantasy Pieces Op.2 are 2 contrasting pieces for the advancing oboist. The piece begins with a lyrical Romanze and concludes with a rhythmic and punchy Humoresque.For Oboe with Piano accompaniment. The Oboe part is also included on a separate insert.

Faroese poems set to music by Peter Bruun Martin Ødegaard Hugi Gudmundsson Svend Hvidtfelt Nielsen Britta Byström Gavin Bryars and Alwynne Pritchard. Preface: The Faroese word 'Innlit' has many meanings such as insight enlightenment perspective and understanding. It symbolises what this project is about. Since it's creation in 1998 commissioning of new vocal music has been one of the main objectives for the vocal ensemble MPIRI. We wanted to actively contribute to the Faroese repertoire of vocal sheet music and until now MPIRI has commissioned more than 50 musical pieces. Before this project however only from Faroesecomposers. With 'Innlit' we wanted an external perspective and put together a collection of poems by Faroese writers all written in the new millennium. In 2011 together with Edition Wilhelm Hansen we invited selected composers from the Nordic region and Britain to compose music using these texts and the result is a CD together with this corresponding book of sheet music published by Edition Wilhelm Hansen. A more poetic translation of the word 'innlit' is 'the colour of what is inside'. We hope that this music can help reflect the colour of Faroese culture.

Intermezzo... Mellem Hans Og Per for Ensemble was composed by Svend Hvidtfelt Nielsen for Edition Wilhelm Hansen's 150th Anniversary in 2007. Dedicated to Hans Abrahamsen and Per Nørgård.

POD Revised Version-Trio For Piano Oboe And Bassoon - Revised Version by Francis Poulenc. This new edition is based on a second manuscript by Poulenc dated 16th March 1928. Edited by Sandro Caldini in 2016. From the preface: The Trio pour piano hautbois et basson by Francis Poulenc (1899-1963) represents a milestone in the repertoire of music for double-reed instruments. It was written between March and April 1926 during a long stay in Côte d'Azur and it was immediately published by Edition Wilhelm Hansen AS Copenhagen in the same year. The composition was influenced by the composer's friendship with Igor Stravinskyand was dedicated to Manuel de Falla. I was lucky to locate a second manuscript (due to the courtesy of the American composer Ned Rorem and his niece Mary Marshall) on which this new edition is based. When I compared this manuscript with the first edition (WH19245) it became evident that there were many differences. 'Supplement to the Danish chorale book' - Tillæg til den danske koralbog completes the 'old' one from 1954 (Den danske koralbog Edition Wilhelm Hansen) in relation to the new hymn book. Where relevant the new compositions are both with chorale arrangement and with melodic line and chords. The book is edited by Margrethe Thestrup Østergaard which has participated in the publication of the supplement from 1994 and i the hymn book commission.

Musaic (1969) by Per Nørgård - for Brass Ensemble and Electronics. Instr.: 5 Cornets 3 Trombones and Electronics Progamme Note Among my compositions for brass band three (“Backlight” “Massifs” - crystals - cascades” “Musaic”) all belong to a three-dimensional space. Thus “Massifs - crystals - cascades” was proclaimed from a mountainside towards the audience in the Norwegian town Tromsø and “Backlight” to the special room of the new concert hall at The Music Conservatory of Jutland Denmark.  “Musaic” was composed in 1969 for the inauguration of Edition Wilhelm Hansen’s new branch in Århus Jutland. Short movements for brass were intermittently heard on the street. In the concert hall all the movements were however heard - also the ones already played; by means of a continuous tape individual fragments of the ´street music´ were gradually collected into one concluding uninterrupted piece lasting all in all 10 minutes a mus(a)ic/muza(i)k…  A synthesis can be heard on a CD from 2007 (by the Brass Ensemble of The Royal Danish Conservatory Jutland) with the note that the work might be much longer when performed live.  Per Nørgård (2007)  Parts available: KP01903A

Four Latin motets (1991) for mixed choir SSATB (SSA) by Per Nørgård. Edited by Ivan Hansen. 1 Ne obsurdescas mihi (SSA/SAT) 2 Ad te Domine clamabo (SSATB) 3 Quam dilecta tabernacula tua (SSA/SAT) 4 Exultavit in Deum (SSATB) Programme note All four motets are based on the first motets´ simple pentatonic initial motif. Like the polarities of the hymn texts between lamentation and jubilation the motif appears in various disguises from a gloomy Japanese (death-) mode (first and second motet) to the lighter celebratory forms inthe familiar Chinese pentatonic scale and the Indonesian “pelog” scale (third and fourth motet). The mood-creating scales weave (like the text sections) in and out of each other ; just a few changes in notes change grief to joy from idyll to catastrophe.
